Hello! I have been gathering different types of photos of inspiration and things my hats mimic or that i want to mimic. I don't think it counts for anything just figured I'd share. My next big thing is learning different patterns for dream catchers.

New Supplies!
Forgetting everything in NH isn't all that bad. I have all new materials and I'm excited to see what I will create when I just turn off my brain and crank them out.
Reading for Wednesday (just the first link)
At first I was going to have you guys read a section from The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst. It made sense because it talks about how fibonacci's sequence can be used to keep type and and the over all design proportionate. However I just wasn't thrilled by it. So here's what I picked instead:

Also there's an interview with the artist, but it's just here incase someone gets really into it and wants more.

Also I'm not sure if anyone likes the show Criminal Minds but there is an episode where the bad guy uses fibonacci sequence in a kidnapping. I thought that was funny

Top Hat
This clip was playing at the PEM exhibition Hats: An Anthology by Stephan Jones.
It shows the steps that are taken to create a top hat.

Hats, hats, and more hats
Though I don't have an updated statement yet, I still have been researching different milliners (one that creates or sells hats. I thought it was a fun word that I stumbled across while researching). I find these people interesting for many reasons. Figured I'd share:
- Stephan Jones
- Philip Treacy
- Piers Atkinson
- Nigel Rayment
- James Lock & CO

The Change
Though my idea isn’t changing I’m merely giving it a subject matter. After talking to John Colan, I realized I don’t want to create these “superheroes” to save others; I want to create my own warriors that are some how connected to me. I have always been interested in the idea of spirit guides/animals. I want to research the myths and legends among different cultures and ideally recreate this “journey” to find my spirit animal(s). After I shall make costumes of these warriors to take on the persona of the animal and what they represent.
